I’ve just watched the latest video snippet released by Google of their long anticipated Google Glass project:

I really can’t put into words how excited I am for the commercial release of this product. With each announcement, we learn more and more of what Google Glass has to offer and how it can be incorporated into daily life.

I studied technological determinists such as Mashal McLuhan at university, and can’t help but wonder what he’d make of these new technologies – he recognised the power of social media in the 1960’s, before it was even invented, so what would he make of a truly ever-connected existence?

If you want to get your hands on a pre-release ‘explorer’ version, Google are taking applications via the hashtag #ifihadglass where you must describe what you’d used it for in 50 words. What would you do if you had Google Glass?
